United Way’s Stuff the Bus Collection Event

It’s Stuff the Bus time and Roscoe Brown has volunteered to be a public drop-off site for United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties’ event this year!

The public can come on down to Roscoe Brown and drop off any donations between now and July 24th. The goal for the community is to provide 5,000 backpacks stuffed with these items to students across both counties. To make this event a success and get the children what they need, help us out by doing these three things:

  1. Help us get the word out. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, and everyone else you know about the event.
  2. Visit our Facebook page and “like” our recent post regarding the collection event.
  3. Help us Stuff the Bus and bring your donations to our office!

Our staff has also decided to participate in giving to the community through payroll deductions to give to the United Way organization. This event is meant to collect school supply items for children in kindergarten – fifth grade and will directly support the children in Rutherford and Cannon county.

The supply list includes:

  • Backpacks (with thick straps – no drawstrings, please)
  • Composition Notebooks (wide-ruled)
  • Dry Erase Markers
  • Scissors (Fiskars)
  • Glue Sticks (Elmer’s)
  • Colored Pencils
  • Crayons (Crayola)
